Every self-respecting Viking drinks beer, it's well known. Like many, we thought that they only drank beer, so we did our little research: we found during archaeological digs(not us hun, archaeologists) something to make wine. Finally, we are not so different from them!

A big beer means a big mug!

Yes, you're not going to believe that you could drink Viking beer in a Carrefour glass? No, if you want to look badass, you're going to need a proper container, we'll give you a choice:

  • A mug
  • A mug
  • A glass (but a real glass)

So we have several designs, we let you choose the one you prefer, we prefer the one with the Wessex symbol.

What did these Vikings drink?

Well, if you're here, you must want to buy something to drink with your friends, if you don't mind, I'm going to tell you some anecdotes about what they drank, and I'm going to take the opportunity to demolish some clichés.

  • No, Viking beer was not that strong, the strongest was estimated at 13%. So yes, it's strong, but still today you can find it in those waters. Personally I thought they were at least 20/25%
  • Well, this one is not really related to the Vikings, but it shocked me so much that I'm going to tell you about it anyway: the oldest beer dates back to 13 000 years ago. Well, that's not the time of the dinosaurs either, but still. Back then, as you can imagine, they didn't brew beer in the same way as today
  • The most valiant Vikings didn't drink their beers from mugs. Yeah, it's not a good way to put it, but we'd rather be honest: mugs existed, but they usually drank from drinking horns. Real animal horns that once prepared served as glass. Nowadays it's not ethical to kill an animal to drink from its horns, so we don't sell them, but maybe fake ones will come soon.
